Being a New Mum...

Nine months back I was blessed, nine months back I was honored, nine months back i was re born...

After greetings,

Last year, when i first knew i am expecting, i knew i am going to be blessed... soon after that i started to receive all this advise on how to take care of myself, eat well, make sure you sleep correctly atc atc atc ... But actually i knew they mean to say ... take care of the baby inside you...

Weeks came and the baby was growing, i started to read, research and ask all about this little fetus and how amazingly grow throw nine months...

An till November 30, 2011, is the day i was blessed, honored, reborn at the very moment my baby girl was born... I felt re born as mother and BANG .... (I slept my face) it was a slap on the face...

No one told me how to take care of a baby, no one told me i will be responsible of a small human, do you know what dose that mean? let me elaborate more... it means she need to be kept cold when its hot, kept worm when its cold, feed when she is hungry and when she cay you just need to know how to calm her down...

No one told me its ongoing duty, its a full time 24/7 job, no vacation, no break, no holiday ... and indeed no retirement... (with a smile on the face)....

Today, if we all sit back and think of our mothers, how they took care of us since we were born, smiled when we were happy, lough we made naughty, worried when we had exams and become happy whenever we succeed...
They took care of us till we became parents our self, let us take this moment to pray for all our mothers and promise to go back home and put a big smile on their face, kiss their forehead and tell them Thank You..

With all the duties that I had as being a mother, i felt promoted with every each mile stone she complete... She start to smile at me, lough, flip then sit down... now she can stand... and call BABA, yes they always got the privilege to be called first ... I feel proud with more responsibility while her ongoing growth... I cant wait for her to call mama, Yet to make her first step...

Believe it or not, with all the sleepless night, being unti social and ongoing busyness... IT ALL WORTH IT .... with just a SMILE from her... with just an open arms asking for a hug...
(then i showed them the below smiling pictures of my baby girl)...

Above was my Project three (P3) with toastmaster club on 17th of September 2012, where i need to get to the point. It was a great speech, audience as much as myself enjoyed it... it was from the deep of myself as being a mother and they all felt it... I managed to drive them all and think of their mothers and how they should go back and make them smile... Improvement area: i still need to use more vocal and body language...

Stay Tuned...

The ICE BREAKER

Project one (P1) it’s your ice break into the club, in the first speech you need to introduce yourself to your fellow club members and give them some information about your background, interests, and ambitions.

You will have time from four to six minutes, and your objectives is to begin speaking to audience and discover speaking skills you already have and skills that need attention.

In June 4th 2012 I gave my 1st speech under the title "The One".... I presented as below:

"If you could all close your eyes and imagine with me for few min, we are all hungry, we are all thirsty... we are all waiting, surrounded by the family at the house garden under the clear sky, and suddenly you hear (then i played the athan by my mobile phone).

In this special spiritual moments, you can all open your eyes like the very first time i opened my eyes to the world. Yes I was born in the holy month of Ramathan many years ago.

Toastmaster of the day, fellow toastmasters, our guest, good after noon.

I am the only kid in the family, who was raised with a single parent. During school days, though i had many friends around, but i only had one best friend. I graduated from high school in 1999. And graduated from University with a Bachelor in Business Information Technology from Luton University, UK in 2004.

Two months later, i joined my current company as a trainee. We were six, three girls and three byes but only one got hired after six months training, guess who? Yes I was the one...

Now i have completed eight years with my employer, started with procurement and tenders department, after two years i moves to recruitment in HR, and currently i am with training and development team.

I am now married with one daughter, who is enlightening my world.

Number ONE had a big role in my life, though i was born in a very special month, today i found that all months are special in their own way. When i used to ask my mum to go out with friend, she used to always ask, which group you are going out with. School, college, university or work? I found that I have lots of friend from different stages of my life with more than one best friend :)

Today i go back to my mother's house, i am not the only one anymore, not the princes of the house, i have a friend, a partner, a brother and husband who share the love of my family.

Though i still have one daughter, i wish to have many more kids in future..."

Toastmasters International Club...

About Us

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. With membership is 280,000 strong. These members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 13,500 clubs in 116 countries that make up their global network of meeting locations.

Membership in Toastmasters is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself, it is also one of the most cost-effective skill-building tools available anywhere.

How Does It Work?
A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere.
There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success.

Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure.

Members learn communication skills by working in the Competent Communication manual, a series of 10 self-paced speaking assignments designed to instill a basic foundation in public speaking.

And Since my orgonisation have their oun club, I BECAME A MEMBER... since few months now. And I have already finished my 3rd Compentent Communication (CC) project.
